Teacher experience · fictional sample

A private place to think about practice.

This walkthrough uses one fictional teacher so you can inspect the experience without asking a real teacher to expose theirs.

Nothing here is live. A school administrator cannot open this view for an individual teacher.

Your practice

Today

Day 12 of 30

Your goal

Give students enough quiet time to form an answer before I step in.

Today's reflection

Which student were you holding that extra wait time for today, and what became possible because you stayed quiet?

What happened?

Your classroom moment

I counted to five after asking what the author was afraid of. I nearly jumped in at four, but a student who rarely speaks had a whole theory ready when I waited.

Your coach

That fourth second is the practice. They did not need a better hint; they needed the room you almost took back. What helped you stay quiet long enough to hear them?

This conversation belongs to the teacher. Their school cannot open it.

The boundary

What a school can see—and what it never can.

School reporting is a separate product surface. It does not open a window into a teacher's journal.

A school can see

  • Cohort participation counts
  • Group trends and themes only when at least five distinct teachers contribute
  • A teacher's named check-in activity only under the visibility terms shown before joining — never in an aggregate-only cycle
  • The exact win a teacher explicitly chose to share, with their name
  • Under named-participation terms: that a teacher has been quiet, so a human can check in — never what they wrote

A school never sees

  • A teacher's reflection or individual rating
  • The coach's replies or the conversation between them
  • An individual teacher's goal, Why Wall, moments, or milestone letters
  • Anything framed as a performance score, ranking, or evaluation
