Accessibility

Last reviewed September 2026.

Teachers use this product at the end of long days, on whatever device is nearby, sometimes with assistive technology. Accessibility is treated as part of the product, not a compliance page: our working standard is WCAG 2.2 AA across the site and the application.

What that means in practice

  • The color palette is contrast-audited; body text meets 4.5:1 on every background it sits on.
  • Everything operates by keyboard, with visible focus throughout.
  • Reduced motion is honored globally: with prefers-reduced-motion, every animation collapses and every page is simply present. Motion never carries information on its own.
  • Pages reflow at 200% and 400% zoom; pinch-zoom is never disabled.
  • Interactive demonstrations have text equivalents, and form errors are announced and tied to their fields.
  • Automated accessibility checks (axe) run in our CI on every change to a browser-facing surface.

Known limits

Automated checks don’t catch everything, and some product areas are newer than others. If something doesn’t work with your screen reader, keyboard, or magnifier, that’s a bug — we want to know.
